METHOD OF PILOT SUBCARRIER TRANSMITTING

A method for transmitting a pilot subcarrier is provided to improve performance of a channel estimation operation and to reduce a pilot overhead by maintaining constantly a time interval and a frequency interval. Pilot subcarriers are allocated within basic source blocks in order to form a constant subcarrier interval and a constant symbol interval. The basic source blocks are periodically and repeatedly allocated in a time domain and a frequency domain within a sub-frame. A subcarrier transmission process is performed to transmit data subcarriers included in the sub-frame and the pilot subcarriers. The basic resource blocks is composed of 18 subcarriers in a frequency axis and 6 OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Modulation) symbols in a time axis.
