PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single cylinder draft gear capable of preventing the fatigue of a sealing member inexpensively. SOLUTION: The single cylinder draft gear D comprises a cylinder 1, a rod guide 3 to block an opening end of the cylinder 1 and axially support the rod 2 inserted into the cylinder 1 movably, the sealing member 4 overlying the rod guide 3 to seal the cylinder 1 and the rod 2, and a passage 5 to communicate with a space S between the rod guide 3 and the sealing member 4 and the cylinder 1 inside. A seal ring 6 is provided to seal between the rod 2 and the rod guide 3, and an orifice 7 is provided in the middle of the passage 5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
