A method and a device for treating boron-containing water are provided with which it is possible to efficiently subject the boron-containing water to a boron removal treatment with an RO device and an ion-exchange device at pHs within an acidic to neutral range where the RO membrane has high resistance to deterioration. The method for treating boron-containing water is characterized by passing the boron-containing water through a high-pressure reverse osmosis membrane device and then treating the resultant water with an ion-exchange device. The device for treating boron-containing water comprises a high-pressure reverse osmosis membrane device to which the boron-containing water is supplied and an ion-exchange device through which the penetrant water from the high-pressure reverse osmosis membrane device is passed.
