LIST DECODING METHOD FOR POLAR CODES AND MEMORY SYSTEM ADOPTING THE SAME

Disclosed are a method for decoding a list of a polar code, and a memory system applying the same. According to the present invention, the method comprises the following steps: adding a decoding line segment based on reliability of a decoding path in a process of generating a decoding graph in a tree structure for inputted codeword symbols, and generating a list of the decoding path which allows the decoding path in the range of threshold path number to be survived in order of higher likelihood probability among the decoding paths generated by the decoding line segment; and determining an estimation value corresponding to the decoding path which has the maximum likelihood probability among the decoding paths included in the list of the decoding path, as an information word.
