A display control device includes: an input unit that receives the result of recognition of a situation around a vehicle; and a control unit that, when a predetermined object is recognized around the vehicle, controls an image generation device to generate a predetermined image that shows a presentation image when displayed on a display medium that transmits light. The control unit detects, on the basis of the recognition result, a change in color of a foreground on which a first presentation image is superposed on the display medium from a first color to a second color. If the second color satisfies a predetermined condition with respect to a third color of at least a part of an outer periphery region of the first presentation image, the control unit causes the image generation device to generate a second predetermined image that shows a second presentation image. The second presentation image includes at least a region of the first presentation image other than the outer periphery region thereof, wherein the color of at least a part of the outer periphery region of the second presentation image is a fourth color different from the third color.
