The present invention is to provide an apparatus for an instant messenger to make a request to change a location where a vehicle is parked, which recognizes a vehicle number as an identification code, and uses a GPS coordinate. The apparatus for an instant messenger may comprise: a main server unit to recognize a vehicle number as a communication identification code; and a terminal unit to log in the main server unit with the identification code. A method for the instant messenger may comprise the steps of: setting an identification code of a second terminal unit with a second vehicle number; and communicating with the second terminal unit through the second vehicle number in a first terminal unit.
