<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical cell easy to have a thin structure.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery 110 includes an electrode body 11 having a positive electrode and a negative electrode and a pair of electrode terminals 13, and a casing body 21 formed by superimposing sheets for housing the electrode body 11. The casing body 21 has a housing part 23 in which the electrode body 11 is housed between the sheets, and a peripheral fringe part 29 formed by closely adhering three sides of the sheet in the periphery of the housing part 23. At least a part of the peripheral fringe part 29 is folded back to the housing part on the peripheral fringe part to form folded parts 30a, 30b, and the folded part 30 is thinner than the thickness of the housing part 23. The housing part 23 has a projecting part in the outside direction viewing from the electrode body 11, and the folded parts 30a,30b are folded back toward the projecting part side.</p> |
