摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite fine particle-supported catalyst support which is obtained by supporting a composite fine particle having a core/shell structure on a support and the catalytic activity of which is improved per the unit quantity of a noble metal.SOLUTION: The composite fine particle-supported catalyst support includes a plurality of composite fine particle-supported catalyst support particles. Each of the composite fine particle-supported catalyst support particles comprises a support particle and a plurality of composite fine particles supported on the surface of the support particle. The composite fine particle contains an oxide fine particle and a noble metal coating for coating at least a part of the surface of the oxide fine particle. An oxide constituting the oxide fine particle is zirconia and the noble metal constituting the noble metal coating is platinum. The average particle diameter of the oxide fine particles is equal to or larger than 3 nm and smaller than 10 nm. The amount of the noble metal coatings is made equivalent to 1-4 atomic layers per one piece of the oxide fine particle. An oxide constituting the support particle is at least one selected from alumina, titania and zirconia. The average particle diameter of the support particles is set within a range of 1 μm to 10 mm.
