According to an embodiment of the disclosed present invention, provided is an image processing apparatus which comprises: an image generation unit including one or more visible light cameras and one or more thermal cameras; a processor connected to the image generation unit; and a memory which is connected to the processor and stores a computer-executable command. When being executed by the processor, the computer-executable command allows the processor to perform the operations of: obtaining a first visible light image of a wide-angle view from the visible light cameras and a second visible light image of a narrow-angle view, which is closer to the image generation unit, than the wide-angle view; obtaining a first thermal image of the wide-angle view and a second thermal image of the narrow-angle view from the thermal cameras; estimating behavior of an object included in the wide-angle view based on the first visible light image and the first thermal image; and detecting a change in the temperature of a facial area included in the narrow-angle view based on the second visible light image and the second thermal image.
