<p>Provided is a ball valve having excellent durability by preventing contact between a ball and a retainer without interposing a ball seat between the retainer and the ball. The ball valve comprises: a valve body having an entry flow path, an exit flow path, and an inner space to connect the flow paths; a ball installed in the inner space, opening and closing the flow paths by rotating about a reference axis; an operating device to rotate the ball about the reference axis; a rotational axis to connect the operating device to the ball; a ball seat installed in the inner space to envelop the ball having an opening part on a side surface; and a retainer inserted into the ball seat. The retainer has a protrusion part, which protrudes from an end part of an outer circumference, on an end part on a side of the valve body. The ball seat has a notch part to interlock with the protrusion part. The retainer interlocks with the opening part such that a section on the side of the ball of the protrusion part can be in contact with a notch part of the ball seat.</p> |
