FIELD: physics, communications.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering and can be used in a wireless communication system receiver. The technical result is higher accuracy of detecting a plurality of symbol blocks, even for symbol blocks containing a combination of a relatively large number of symbols. To this end, the method includes two or more steps of facilitating detection to successfully reduce the number of suitable combinations of symbols considered for the symbol block when detecting a plurality of symbol blocks; identifying the reduced set of suitable combinations of symbols for at least one block of m symbols of a plurality of symbol blocks and then jointly detecting each of the one or more distinct groups of symbols in each symbol block in order to determine, from said reduced set, the final reduced set of suitable combinations of symbols.EFFECT: detection of a plurality of symbol blocks limits suitable combinations of symbols considered for a symbol block.36 cl, 11 dwg |
