PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress to the minimum a deterioration in drivability and a deterioration in exhaust emission each due to a property change of CNG (Compressed Natural Gas), in a control system of an internal combustion engine which can use a plurality of kinds of fuel including the CNG.SOLUTION: There is provided the control system of an internal combustion engine which can use a plurality of kinds of fuel including a compressed natural gas. In the control system, the switching of the fuel from the CNG to the other fuel is prohibited during a period after an initial use of the CNG after a start of the internal combustion engine up to a time at which the learning of a property of the CNG is determined to be unnecessary, or during a period after the initial use of the CNG after the start of the internal combustion engine up to the finish of processing for learning the property of the CNG. |
