PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arrange action parts acting on identification means in a cartridge efficiently in a small space.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 includes identification means S for permitting the attachment of a cartridge B to an attachment part 124, a transmission member 126 that can be engaged with the cartridge to transmit a driving force, and a protective member 190 for the transmission member 126. The cartridge B has a first action part 71g acting on a first action target part 172 included in the identification means S, a second action part 71f acting on a second action target part 162 included in the identification means S after the first action part 71g has acted on the first action target part 172, and a driving force receiving member 63a that can be engaged with the transmission member 126 to receive a driving force. The first action part 71a and second action part 71f are provided at positions to be capable of acting on the first action target part 172 and second action target part 162 in an arrangeable area 94 provided in a cartridge frame body 71. |
