The present invention relates to a process for treating heavy petroleum feedstocks for the production of fuel oils and fuel oil bases, in particular bunker fuel oils and bunker fuel oil bases, with a low sulphur content. This process comprises a step (a) of fixed-bed hydrotreatment of a heavy sulphur-comprising hydrocarbon feedstock, followed by a step (b) of hydroconversion in a boiling-bed reactor containing a supported catalyst, and a step (c) of separation of the effluent obtained from step (b) to obtain at least one gaseous fraction and at least said liquid hydrocarbon fraction, without an intermediate separation step between the hydrotreatment step (a) and the hydroconversion step (b). |
