PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanner device that can read a display screen of a terminal device with an easy operation, and an image forming apparatus having the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a scanner device that has a first mode of reading a normal object placed on a document platen, and a second mode of reading a light-emitting object placed on the document platen, the device including a light detection unit that detects the light from the object placed on the document platen, and a control unit that switches the reading mode to a first mode when the light detection unit does not detect the light and switches the reading mode to a second mode when the light detection unit has detected the light. |
