A method of operating a polyolefin reactor system, comprising: polymerizing olefin in a first inert diluent in a first reactor to form a first polyolefin; discharging continuously from the first reactor a transfer slurry comprising the first polyolefin and the first inert diluent; processing the transfer slurry through a separator to form (1) a recycle stream comprising the first inert diluent and (2) a concentrated slurry comprising the first polyolefin; feeding the concentrated slurry to a second reactor; polymerizing olefin in a second inert diluent in the second reactor to form a second polyolefin; discharging from the second reactor a product slurry comprising the first polyolefin, the second polyolefin, and the second inert diluent; and wherein the first inert diluent and the second inert diluent are different, wherein process the transfer slurry comprises feeding the transfer slurry to a wash column or decanter.
