PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut off power supply to a main controller in both a normal operation mode and an energy saving mode.SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus comprises: a mode controller 101 which performs control of the normal operation mode of operating by a main controller and the energy saving mode of cutting off power to the main controller and supplying power to a sub controller; an identifier 102 which, in the energy saving mode, identifies an option apparatus needing power supply by a notification from the option apparatus; and a switch controller 103 which, in the energy saving mode, switches from control by the main controller to that by the sub controller in accordance with the identified option apparatus. |
