This medical device comprises a substrate and a coat layer that contains an antithrombogenic material covering the substrate surface. The antithrombogenic material comprises a copolymer that contains a repeating unit (A) represented by formula (1), wherein R11 is a hydrogen atom or methyl group, Z is an oxygen atom or -NH-, R12 is an alkylene group of 1-6 carbon atoms, R13 and R14 are independently an alkyl group of 1-4 carbon atoms, and R15 is an alkylene group of 1 or 2 carbon atoms, and a repeating unit (B) represented by formula (2), wherein R21 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R22 is an alkylene group of 1-6 carbon atoms, and R23 is an alkyl group of 1-4 carbon atoms. The repeating unit (A) makes up 1-7 mol% of all the constituent units of the copolymer. This invention enables providing a medical device that has excellent antithrombotic properties even in extremely difficult use conditions in which thrombogenesis is prone to occur. |
