An array substrate and a display device having the array substrate. The array substrate comprises: a display region; a non-display region arranged at the perimeter of the display region and comprising a gate drive circuit region, i.e. a GOA region which comprises a first patterned metal layer (1) formed on a base substrate (10); a first insulation layer (2) formed on the first patterned metal layer (1); a second patterned metal layer (3) formed on the first insulation layer (2); a second insulation layer (4) which covers the second patterned metal layer (3); and a third patterned metal layer (5) formed at one side of the second insulation layer (4) which deviates from the base substrate (10), the third patterned metal layer (5) comprising a plurality of metal wires which are insulated from one another, the plurality of metal wires being connected to the first patterned metal layer (1) and the second patterned metal layer (3) through via holes respectively and being used as connecting wires between elements in the gate drive circuit. By arranging a third patterned metal layer (5) comprising a plurality of metal wires in a GOA region, the space occupied by GOA wiring is effectively reduced, the width of the GOA region is reduced, and the design of narrow frames is realized. |
