PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharge head that has a support member and an element substrate sealed with an adhesive without any gap. ! SOLUTION: There is provided a liquid discharge head that has an element substrate having a discharge port for discharging a liquid; a support member which supports the element substrate; and an adhesive for bonding the element substrate to a joint surface of the support member. The joint surface has a control shape for controlling the height of the adhesive applied over the joint surface when the liquid crystal discharge head is manufactured, and the control shape controls the height such that when the element substrate abuts on the adhesive applied over the joint surface during the manufacture of the liquid discharge head, the adhesive abuts on the element substrate later in a predetermined direction of the element substrate. !
