摘要 <p>Complex organic salts of polyvalent metals are prepared by reacting a solution of a basic salt of a polyvalent metal in a low molecular weight C1-C4 alcohol with an acid phosphoric acid ester of a higher molecular weight, C8-C24 hydroxy compound, thereby forming a solution of said complex salt, suitable salts are basic aluminium, chromium, iron, zirconium, titanium, tin and mercury salts, e.g. basic chromium chlorides, basic aluminium nitrates, and basic iron chlorides. The phosphoric acid esters used in the process are preferably the acid esters of orthophosphoric acid with higher molecular weight alcohols of the aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, aliphatic-aromatic, or cycloaliphaticaromatic series, e.g. mono and dioctyl; mono and dilauryl, mono and dioleyl, mono and di-cyclohexyl, mono and di-naphthenyl and mono and dialkylphenyl (alkyl residues C3-C18) phosphates. Suitable low molecular alcohols, which also act as solvents, are methanol, ethanol, isopropanol, butanol, tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol and 1.2 propylene glycol. The most suitable molar ratio of the basic salts of the trivalent metals is 1-5 mols. per 1 mol. of phosphoric acid ester. The alcoholic solutions of the metal complexes may be concentrated by distilling off the excess solvent or evaporating to dryness. The process may take place at elevated temperature with or without pressure. Examples are given illustrating the preparation of the complex salt of (1) basic chromic chloride and monotetradecyl phosphoric acid ester in methanol; (2) basic chromic chloride and alkylphosphoric acid ester (alkyl residues C12-C18) in methanol; (3) basic aluminium chloride and an acid phosphoric acid alkyl ester mixture (C12-C18) in methanol; (4) basic aluminium chloride and a phosphoric acid monoester of a C12-C18 fatty alcohol, in methanol or ethanol; (6) basic ferric chloride and a monododecyl phosphoric acid ester in methanol; (7) basic chromium chloride and mono-octyl-phenyl phosphate or mono-octyl-cyclohexyl phosphate in methanol; (8) basic titanium tetrachloride and ester as in Example (2); (9) basic aluminium chloride and ester as in Example (4), in isopropanol; (10) basic aluminium chloride and monocetyl phosphoric acid in methanol; (11) basic aluminium chloride and monodecyl phosphoric acid ester in 1,2-propylene glycol; (12) basic stannic chloride and monoalkyl phosphoric acid ester (alkyl residue C12-C18) in methanol; (13) basic chromium chloride and a monoalkyl phosphoric ester (alkyl residue C12-C18) in tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol; (14) basic chromic chloride and didodecyl phosphate in methanol; (15) basic chromium chloride and a monoalkyl phosphate (alkyl residue C12-C18) in isopropanol; (16) as Example (15), or a phosphoric acid ester with an unsaturated alkyl residue C14-C18 may be used, or mono phosphoric acid esters of alcohols or mixtures of alcohols which are obtained by reduction of naphthenic acids or naturally occurring resin acids may be used.</p>
