PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid shovel capable of determining the presence/absence of abnormality in a relay for disconnecting a capacitor from a converter.SOLUTION: The hybrid shovel includes: a step-up/down converter 100 disposed between an electric generator 12 and a capacitor 19; relays 91C, 91N and 91P disposed between the step-up/down converter 100 and the capacitor 19; a capacitor voltage detection part 112 for detecting a capacitor voltage value Vcap; and a controller 30 for performing conduction/cutoff control of the relays 91C, 91N and 91P. At least when starting or stopping the hybrid shovel, on the basis of conduction/cutoff states of the relays 91C, 91N and 91P and the capacitor voltage value Vcap, the controller 30 determines the presence/absence of abnormality in each of the relays 91C, 91N and 91P. |
