The present invention relates to a method for producing a composition for an antibacterial and transparent film and a composition for an antibacterial and transparent film manufactured by the same method. The method includes the steps of: agitating a mixture of layered silicate and a solvent at 23-28°C; agitating the agitated mixture after adding a silver compound into the agitated mixture; and agitating the agitated mixture after adding an alkali agent into the agitated mixture. Therefore, the transparent film with excellent antibacterial properties can be provided.
