The present invention is to provide a polarizing film having excellent optical properties, durability, and water resistance. The polarizing film of the present invention consists of a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin film in which the thickness is less than or equal to 10 μm, and iodine concentration of the polyvinyl alcohol-based resin film is more than or equal to 8.5 wt%, and a cross-linking index is 100-200.
