<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drastically reduce time and man-hours needed for setting before starting operation to improve work efficiency by automatically setting an installation position of a monitoring camera and a monitoring area. <P>SOLUTION: In an image monitoring system, monitoring cameras 1, 1, ..., include position sensors, direction sensors, and gradient sensors and a management server 9 obtains and stores information indicating installation states of the cameras such as installation positions, installation directions, and inclination angles when the monitoring cameras 1, 1, ..., are installed. In the management server 9, an obstruction on each of the monitoring cameras 1, 1, ..., is detected based on the stored information indicating the installation states of the cameras and information indicating a position and size of a building and such which has been preliminary stored in accordance with a monitoring area allocation control program 131, and a monitoring target area for each of the monitoring cameras 1, 1, ..., is set on a map considering the position and size of the obstruction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
