<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wrong insertion preventing mechanism for connectors that permits male and female connectors to be fitted together by building permanent magnets into the connectors.SOLUTION: In a wrong insertion preventing mechanism for connectors disposed in a connector couple that is formed by inserting a female connector 1 into the space 21 of a male connector 2 to be fitted together, a permanent magnet 15 is built into the under face of the housing of the female connector to position one of its poles at the combining end of the female connector, a shutter 23 that is opened when pushed is fitted with a rotation shaft 23A to the upper side of the space of the male connector, an engaging member 24 that prevents rotation of the shutter is disposed on the lower side of the space of the male connector with support by a rotation shaft 24A, the permanent magnet 25 is fitted to the lower side of the engaging member 24 with one of its poles exposed outside from the rotation end 23E of the shutter, and, at the time of inserting the female connector 1 into the male connector 2, the shutter 23 is opened to cause the connectors to be fitted into each other when the polarities of the permanent magnets 15 and 25 are found to be the same.</p> |
