The present invention provides a single nucleotide polymorphism DNA marker selected within an albino swamp eel mitochondrial 16S rDNA nucleotide sequence represented by sequence number 3 and a method for discriminating a native species of an albino swamp eel using the same to discriminate the country of origin of an albino swamp eel. The method using the single nucleotide polymorphism genetic marker for discriminating a native species of an albino swamp eel provides the method to discriminate the country of origin of the albino swamp eel including the steps of: amplifying DNA; electrophoresing; and analyzing a band pattern of DNA fragments.
