[Problem] To provide a device capable of efficiently collecting contradictory expressions in smaller units than a length of a sentence. [Solution] The device for collecting the contradictory expressions comprises: a first stage contradictory pattern classifier for extracting a pattern pair of patterns that contradict each other by machine learning in which pattern pairs of patterns each having a "subject (X)-predicate-object (Y)" form are used as training data; an additional contradictory pattern pair deriving unit (130) for deriving an additional pattern pair by applying an implication relation to each pattern of the extracted pattern pair to rewrite one of the patterns; a training data extension unit (136) for extending the training data by adding, to the training data, the pattern pair with a high possibility of patterns that contradict each other among the derived additional pattern pairs; and a support vector machine (SVM) (142) for performing a second stage classification in which a given pattern pair is classified into the pattern pair of patterns that contradict each other or the non-contradictory pattern pair by the machine learning using the extended training data.
