PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide pyrrole inhibitors of S-nitrosoglutathione reductase (GSNOR).SOLUTION: The present invention provides a compound represented by formula (I). Specifically, 4-(2-(2-(1 H-tetrazol-5-yl)ethyl)-5-phenyl-1 H-pyrrol-1-yl)benzamide is illustrated, wherein Arand Arare independently aryl, substituted aryl, heteroaryl and substituted heteroaryl; X is C or N; Y is C when X is N, and N when X is C; and n is 0-3.
