This method of manufacturing a polarizing laminate film involves a step for obtaining a laminate film by coating a substrate film with a coating liquid containing a polyvinyl alcohol resin, a step for obtaining a stretched film by stretching the laminate film, and a step for dyeing the polyvinyl alcohol resin layer of the stretched film with a dichroic dye, wherein the stretching step involves a first stretching step in which stretching is performed such that the first width remaining ratio R1 is 60% or greater and less than 100%, and a second stretching step in which the free end is uniaxially stretched such that the second width remaining ratio R2 is less than the first width remaining ratio R1; this method of manufacturing polarizing plate uses the polarizing laminate film obtained by the aforementioned method. |
