A lock structure maintains a lead at a close position and restricts a rattling noise. A lock structure (5) for a glove box (1) having a lead (4) for closing an opening (2) of an instrument panel (3), which includes a lock hole (17) formed in the instrument panel; a lock pin (28) supported to be displaced between first and second positions, wherein the lock pin is locked into the lock hole, is flexible and is elastically supported in state that the lock pin is extended by a pin elastic member 53; a slider (27) installed to the lead, making contact with an inclined surface (18A) when the lead is located near a close position, and allowing the lock pin to be displaced to the first position; an operating part (22) installed to be displaced by the lead; and a ring member (23) displaced corresponding to the displacement of the operating part, wherein the ring member resists the elastic force of a pin elastic member to reduce the lock member placed at the first position and allows the lock member to break away from the lock hole. |
