The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device. The liquid crystal display device according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a first substrate, a first electrode and a second electrode which are located on the first substrate and are located on the same layer, a second substrate which faces the first substrate, a third electrode and a fourth electrode which are located on the second substrate and are located on the different layers, and a liquid crystal layer which is interposed between the first substrate and the second substrate and includes liquid crystal molecules. Each of the first electrode, the second electrode, and the third electrode includes a plurality of branch electrodes. The fourth electrode has a planar shape. The first electrode is electrically connected to the third electrode.
