A universal vehicle remote control device and a method thereof are disclosed. The universal vehicle remote control device according to the present invention comprises: a network communications unit to communicate with a user who accesses a universal vehicle remote control device through a network; a user authentication unit to identify the user; a user information database to store user information which is necessary for identifying the user; and a remote control unit to transmit a control signal and status information to a vehicle of the identified user or to receive the control signal and the status information from the vehicle of the identified user and to remotely start the vehicle.
