Disclosed are a method for controlling stereo convergence and a stereo image processor adopting the same. The method for controlling the stereo convergence comprises the steps of: detecting objects in a stereo image; grouping the detected objects into at least one object according to user setting specification information; and moving at least one of a left eye image and a right eye image constituting the grouping or the stereo image of a user setting region including the grouping either or both of a horizontal direction and a vertical direction.
