<p>A diaphragm valve includes a valve body having a passage that opens and closes to allow fluid to pass, and to prevent fluid from passing, through the valve body, and a bonnet assembly having a pressure ring that loads/unloads a diaphragm based on a first spring constant to seal a peripheral portion of a diaphragm, and having a compressor that closes/opens the passage of the valve body. The valve-body-and-bonnet-assembly combination has a rotational connection that affixes the combination together with a second spring constant that is substantially higher than and independent from the first spring constant and that includes the valve body having a rim/surface with two shouldered pins arranged on opposite sides; and the bonnet assembly having a corresponding rim/surface with two keyways arranged on opposite sides. Each keyway is recessed and receive/engages a respective shouldered pin when the bonnet assembly is rotated in relation to the valve body.</p> |
