<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for adjusting a lengthwise position of a head rest, which can enhance stability of an operation for turning a head rest body in a longitudinal direction, while increasing rigidity of the head rest body. <P>SOLUTION: The head rest includes a head rest pillar 1, a lock bracket 4, the head rest body 5, and a lock mechanism. An encircling part 8 of the head rest body 5 includes: a pair of reinforcing ribs 8a and 8a that face both right and left side surfaces of the lock bracket 4, respectively; and stopper parts 8b, 8c and 8c that are provided on the front and rear sides of the encircling part 8 and that abut on front and rear ends 4a and 4b of the lock bracket 4 during the turning of the head rest body 5, respectively. Thus, the rigidity of the head rest body can be increased by the pair of reinforcing ribs, and the head rest body can be turned in the longitudinal direction between front-side and rear-side stopper parts. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
