<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To monitor the power consumption of a whole blade server, and to achieve power control such that the power consumption value of the whole blade server does not exceed a power consumption value specified to a user while securing the performance of the whole blade server. <P>SOLUTION: In the blade server including: a plurality of blade devices for controlling self-power consumption; and a control device for monitoring the power consumption and operating states of the plurality of blade devices and the power consumption of a power supply unit to achieve power control, the control device preliminarily sets a high load power threshold for setting the blade device in a high load state as the object of power control and a non-operating power threshold for setting the blade device in a non-operating state as the object of power control, and the control device selects the object blade device to achieve power control by referring to information relating to the operating states, power consumption values and power control of the blade devices which are obtained from the plurality of blade devices such that the power consumption value of the whole blade server is converged between the high load power threshold and the non-operating power threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
