<p>The present invention relates to a decoding device and a decoding method for a network video recorder (NVR). More specifically, the decoding device and the decoding method are capable of minimizing latency by dividing and processing a multi-channel video through multiple decoders with an independent decoding module which can be expanded separately from a main board of the NVR.The decoding device comprises: a decoding unit to disperse, in parallel, inputted multi-channel frame data to be decoded and to generate unit image data; a screen configuring unit to coalesce or reconfigure the unit image data generated through parallel processing to configure and output a screen; and a main control unit to control booting, operation and screen output of the decoding unit.</p> |
