PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a color conversion table so that the total amount of respective used ink colors is no more than a placed ink amount limitation value, and thereby to avoid various adverse effects such as ink bleeding and cockling of a print medium.SOLUTION: A color correction method comprises: a colorimetric value acquisition step for acquiring colorimetric values of a plurality of patch images output onto a print medium from a printer; a placed ink amount limitation value acquisition step for acquiring a placed ink amount limitation value indicating the upper limitation value of the ink amount outputtable in a unit area of the print medium; a correction step for correcting an output gradation value in a color conversion table on the basis of a result of comparing the colorimetric values of patch images to prescribed reference values; and a correction step for, when the total ink amount in the combination of corrected output gradation values of respective inks is over the placed ink amount limitation value, performing a prescribed ratio calculation on the respective corrected output gradation values to reduce the total ink amount to under the placed ink amount limitation value. |
