Provided are: a nickel-manganese-based composite oxyhydroxide which is stable in the atmosphere, does not create manganese oxide (Mn3O4) as a byproduct when stored for a long period or dried, and has a high metal element dispersibility; a production method therefor; and a use therefor. The present invention comprises: the nickel-manganese-based composite oxyhydroxide which is characterised in that the chemical formula is represented by Ni(0.25+α)-xM1xMn(0.75-α)-yM2yOOH (provided that M1 and M2 each independently represent one element selected from Mg, Al, Ti, V, Cr, Fe, Co, Cu, Zn, and Zr, 0 ≤ x ≤ 0.1, 0 ≤ y ≤ 0.25, and -0.025 ≤α≤ 0.025), and the crystal structure is a hexagonal crystal cadmium hydroxide structure; the production method therefor; and the use therefor. |
