The present invention relates to a piezoelectric material which does not contain optional lead component, and represents stable piezoelectric characteristics, high mechanical quality coefficient, and satisfactory piezoelectric characteristics within an operating temperature range. The piezoelectric material of the present invention includes a main component containing a perovskite type metal oxide that can be expressed by chemical equation 1; and a sub-component including Mn, Li, and Bi. When the metal oxide is 100 parts by weight, content of the Mn is in the range of 0.04-0.36 parts by weight based on metal, content α of Li is 0.0012 parts by weight or less (including 0 part by weight) based on the metal, and content β of Bi is in the range of 0.042-0.850 parts by weight based on the metal.
