PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feed device and an image formation device that can be made compact and thin.SOLUTION: A paper feed device 1 includes: a press member 19 which can move up and down between a press position where a form placed in a tray is pressed against a paper feed roller 16 and a release position where the paper feed roller is released from being pressed so as to press the form placed in a tray against the paper feed roller 16 by the upward/downward movable press member 19 supported pivotally on a rotary shaft 160 and to supply the sheet to a supply destination through rotation of the paper feed roller 16 accompanying rotation of the rotary shaft 160; a suppression mechanism which can move between a suppression position where the press member 19 is suppressed from moving up to the press position and the release position where the press member is released from being suppressed; and an interlocking mechanism which moves the suppression mechanism 21 to the release position associatively with the rotation of the paper feed roller 16. |
