PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring system that can reliably notify an operator that a state for an inspection switch is in an inspection state after inspection operation. SOLUTION: The monitoring system includes: an elevator monitoring device 3 that monitors an elevator apparatus 1 with the inspection switch 12 where a state switches into a normal state and an inspection state; and a normal type terminal device 4 that is used in monitoring the elevator apparatus 1 and where an SSID is input from the elevator monitoring device 3. The SSID includes information indicating that a state of the inspection switch 12 is the normal state when the state of the inspection switch 12 is the normal state, and information indicating that a state of the inspection switch 12 is the inspection state when the state of the inspection switch 12 is the inspection state.
