The invention relates to a passive inhalation device (10), in particular an inhalation device for pharmaceutical contents, a smoke-free cold cigarette, cigar or pipe, for releasing at least one volatile substance which converts at least partially to the gas phase at room temperature, in which the heating needed to release the volatile substance takes place substantially passively via the body temperature of the user. The inhalation device (10) comprises a flow channel (42) which extends through a main body (12) of the inhalation device (10) and through which the user aspirates air during use, a depot (18) which is arranged in the flow channel (42) and in which the at least one volatile substance is stored until release, and a heat transfer element (14) which is at least partially in contact with the depot (18) for the purpose of heat transfer and which, during use, transfers the body heat of the user to the depot (18) in order to release the substance stored in the depot (18), such that the volatile substance released from the depot (18) distributes itself in the air that is aspirated through the flow channel (42) by the user. According to the invention, the main body (12) has two sleeves (16) which at least partially form the flow channel (42) and between the mutually facing ends of which the depot (18) is arranged. The heat transfer element designed as part of the main body (12) is a heat transfer sleeve (14) which delimits a further portion of the flow channel (42) and in which the depot (18) is held, wherein the heat transfer sleeve (14) connects the two sleeves (16) rigidly to each other and is secured on them in a gas-tight manner. |
