The present invention relates to a dryer having a waste heat recovery unit. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the dryer having a waste heat recovery unit comprises: a cabinet; a drum which is installed inside the cabinet to be rotated; an intake duct which has an intake path for sending air into the drum; an exhaust duct which discharges the air from the drum to the outside of the cabinet; a heater which heats the air flowing into the drum; an external air duct which receives air outside of the cabinet and supplies the received air into the drum; a waste heat recovery unit which includes an evaporating part for absorbing heat from the air discharged from the drum, a condensing part for transferring the absorbed heat to the external air flowing into the external air duct, and a heat transfer medium for transferring the heat between the evaporating part and the condensing part, wherein the external air duct is connected to the intake duct between the drum and the heater.
