PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing member which protects a cartridge from vibration and impact occurring during transportation and is excellent in usability.SOLUTION: A packing member which packs a cartridge used in an image formation device includes: a frame body part having a recessed part for storing the cartridge; a lid part which releasably closes the recessed part; a hinge part which movably couples the lid part to the frame body part for opening and closing the recessed part; a joint part where the frame body part and the lid part are coupled for bringing the recessed part into a closed state; and a separation part which is provided so as to be removable from the lid part for separating the joint part from the lid part and leaving the joint part in the frame body part when the lid part is opened.
