This invention is provided with: a coolant circuit having a compressor (3), an outdoor heat exchanger (5), an expansion valve (7), and an evaporator (9), the coolant circuit having coolant circulating therein; an outdoor fan (6); an indoor fan (10); a measurement unit (41a) for measuring the operating state quantity of the coolant circuit; and a controller (41b) for controlling the manipulated variable as a subject of manipulation so that the current value as a subject of control reaches a desired value, which is also a subject of control, the desired value as a subject of control being determined on the basis of another measurement value, the current value as a subject of control being one of the measurement values measured by the measurement unit (41a),and the manipulated variable as a subject of manipulation being the frequency of the compressor (3), the opening degree of the expansion valve (7), the rotational speed of the outdoor fan (6), and/or the rotational speed of the indoor fan (10). The controller (41b) determines the manipulated variable using an upper limit value as the desired value while the current value is less than the lower limit value, the upper limit value and the lower limit value defining a settling range set so as to be centered on the desired value. The controller (41b) determines the manipulated variable using the lower limit value as the desired value while the current value is higher than the upper limit value. After the current value enters the settling range, the controller (41b) determines the manipulated variable on the basis of the reference tolerance overshoot ratio (Xb) as a preset overshoot ratio. |
