The present invention relates to a spherical nanoparticle consisting of a single gold nanodot core in yolk shell shape and silica shell and a synthesis method thereof, comprising the steps of putting a spherical nanoparticle consisting of a multi-gold nanodot core and silica shell in a polyvinylpyrrolidone solution; manufacturing a spherical nanoparticle consisting of the yolk shell shaped single gold nanodot core and silica shell; heating the obtained spherical nanoparticle in water or a hydrophilic solution; manufacturing of the yolk shell shaped single gold nanodot core and porous silica shells.
