METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TRACKING AND VISUALIZING PROPAGATION PATH OF ELECTROMAGNETIC NOISE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve temporal tracking of a target electromagnetic noise even when the electromagnetic noise is embedded in other electromagnetic noises.SOLUTION: A method for analyzing the propagation of electromagnetic noise from an electromagnetic noise generation source which propagates through a circuit board or a transmission path such as a cable connected to equipment includes the steps of: preliminarily predicting the waveform of the electromagnetic noise generated from the electromagnetic noise generation source; observing the waveform of the electromagnetic noise at a plurality of points on the transmission path; calculating a correlation between the predicted waveform of the electromagnetic noise and the observed waveforms of the electromagnetic noise at the plurality of points by time units; and identifying an electromagnetic noise propagation time and frequency transmission characteristics from the electromagnetic noise generation source from the time unit in which the predicted waveform of the electromagnetic noise and the observed waveforms of the electromagnetic noise at the plurality of points show high correlation, and temporally tracking the propagation of the electromagnetic noise.
