PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand-held knife which has a simple structure, is safely usable without allowing the cutting edge to be touched unless in cutting and allows for carrying in e.g. a pocket.SOLUTION: A hand-held knife is provided with a rotary body 5 composed of an U-shaped wire material in a grip part 1, and the rotary body 5 is arranged in a freely rotatable way in the plate surface direction of the edge plate part 2, with the base end parts of right and left wire material parts 7 of the rotary body 5 pivoted on both sides of the grip part 1. The folded tip part 6 of the rotary body 5 serves as a hooking part 6 to be hooked on the other side edge of the edge plate part 2. The hooking part 6 is hooking-urged to the other side edge of the edge plate part 2 by rotation urging means 9. When the hooking part 6 is hooked on the other side edge of the edge plate part 2, the right and left wire materials 7 protrude, from one side edge of the edge plate part 2, outward in the plate surface direction of the edge plate part 2 and is located outer to the cutting edge 3. The middle part of the right and left wire materials 7 protruded outward in the plate surface direction of the cutting edge 3 serves as a protective part 8. |
